Love in the Time of Centrosaurs?

Paleoart Gallery

Happy New Year! Here’s one last paleoart piece for 2020, Centrosaurus Canyon. I’ve had this slowly gestating for a while and finally wrapped it up this month. Any piece that takes long enough ends up being reworked from the ground up a few times, and this one evolved considerably.

The concept is a bull Centrosaurus roaming the uplands of Late Cretaceous Canada. I really wanted to infuse it with a sense of serenity, and for me, that means a well-fed ceratopsid. And pastel colors, I reckon. There are, as usual, a couple other critters tucked in there. Click the image to see a large version at my DeviantArt profile. I suppose I’ll sell you a print too, if you like.

An illustrated scene of a Centrosaurus bull by an upland stream - a ravine of gray and purple stone against a pink sunset sky.

Anyhow, thanks so much for reading LITC this year and I know that the entire crew joins me in wishing you a healthy and safe 2021 full of good fortune.

Just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing with us.

Guess what’s my desktop’s background image this week? (I don’t need any special permission for that, do I, David?)

BTW, I found 2 Waldos, is that all?

Thanks so much! No, no permission needed. 🙂

There is a third Waldo but it’s not really hiding plus it’s pretty subtle.
